Wood Veneer Panels
Sliced veneer is made from precious wood species using a radial slicing process, resulting in thin panels. Different materials produce varying patterns, and there are various methods for bonding them to engineered wood panels. Their characteristics include a natural and realistic appearance, resistance to cracking and deformation, and they save wood resources, making them environmentally friendly. They are currently the most widely used decorative veneer in both domestic and international markets. Over a hundred companies in China's coastal regions produce this type of decorative panel. However, because these panels use precious wood species as raw materials, their cost is high. Therefore, a new method has emerged that utilizes wood scraps and offcuts, coloring, bonding, and slicing them into thin panels for veneering engineered wood panels. The results are even superior to sliced wood veneer.
Plastic Veneer Panels
Commonly used are soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC) films, printed with various colors, patterns, and wood grains for veneering. They are characterized by bright colors, beautiful patterns, and low prices. To avoid environmental pollution from plasticizers in PVC, many domestic manufacturers have replaced them with polyethylene or polypropylene films. Their main applications are in large areas, such as door panels and exhibition hall wall decorations.
Paper Veneer Panels
There are many types of paper veneer panels, mainly including pre-coated decorative paper, low-pressure thin paper short-cycle laminates, and high-pressure amino resin laminates. Their main characteristics are bright colors, strong decorative function, and wide market application.
Metal Foil Veneer Panels
These are newly developed panels mainly used for surfaces requiring a metallic texture. They reduce the amount of metal used, such as aluminum foil panels used for elevator walls and copper foil panels used for door decoration. Their advantages include good decorative effect and a certain degree of strength, and their market demand is increasing.
