Before 1995, the Chinese furniture industry was in its infancy, with conditions in all aspects still immature; from 1995 to 2005, the Chinese furniture industry entered its early growth stage; from 2005 to 2015, the Chinese furniture industry was in its mid-growth stage, with relatively concentrated and specialized furniture production bases established across the country. It is expected that after 2015, the Chinese furniture industry will enter its late growth stage and gradually transition to a mature stage. From 1995 to 2005, the Chinese furniture industry experienced its first period of rapid development, primarily driven by quantitative expansion, establishing a complete industrial system with a full range of products that meet international standards and satisfy the needs of the Chinese people and the international market. In the next 5 to 10 years, against the backdrop of the global furniture industry's relocation, the Chinese furniture industry will usher in its second period of rapid development. This period will focus not on quantitative expansion, but on qualitative improvement.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, the Chinese government has proposed accelerating urbanization and the development of small towns, comprehensively revitalizing the rural economy, and accelerating the urbanization process to further stimulate the consumer market and expand consumption. By 2015, China's urbanization level reached 52%. This national initiative will inevitably further promote housing construction in China, thus driving the development of related industries. Based on social needs and development requirements, the State Council proposed the industrialization of housing, which will drive the standardization, serialization, and industrialization of tens of thousands of products related to housing. Due to the development of housing industrialization, housing as a commodity has entered the market, providing development opportunities for various types of furniture and related products. At the same time, per capita cash expenditure on living expenses for rural residents has increased year by year, and the demand for housing renovation and furniture purchases among rural residents has also increased annually. Therefore, the Chinese furniture industry holds enormous market potential.
